LAUDATIO is an open access repository for historical corpora with open-format in terms of corpus data. As a publication and documentation platform at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, LAUDATIO increases the visibility, referencing and findability of research results. With consistent documentation using deeply structured metadata, corpora are described to provide intellectual access to heterogeneous data and independent reuse. With the help of this metadata, users can also search for corpora, their documents and annotations.

For the sustainable archiving, versioning, and publishing of the various research data, the GIT version control system is used as part of the backend technology. The complex TEI xml-based metadata is processed and indexed through a pipeline using the search technologies Logstash and Elasticsearch. The user interface has been modelled and implemented according to the principles of UX to improve the user-friendliness for the endusers in the display of the complex metadata structures as well as for the search functionality
